GCC Dads ‘Guarantee-a-Game’ Scheme – The Relaunch!

Easter – The most important and oldest festival of the Christian Church, celebrating the Resurrection  of Jesus Christ and held between March 21 and April 25, on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox.

Cricket Season – The most important and oldest festival of the Goring Cricket Club, celebrating the resurrection of Stephen Wincott’s Jock Strap and held between April 22 and September 22, on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays, and sometimes on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday too – but not Thursday!

68 Games of Cricket this year (Fixture Cards available at the AGM – are you coming?).  And to be in with a chance of playing only half as many games as Steve Wincott this season, you will need a ‘Free Pass’. This is where the GCC ‘Guarantee-a-Game’ Scheme comes in!

For those that haven’t worked out when the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox is, allow me.  Its the 31st March, which means Good Friday is 29th March, and time for the Great GCC Easter Egg Hunt!

Dad’s, all you need to do is bring yourself, and any/all/some/most of your children to the Ground on the 29th at 10.30am.  There will be Teas and Coffees available for adults, squash and juice available for all the kids, and biscuits and Hot Cross Buns available for everyone.  Plus of course, an Easter Egg hunt all around the Gardiner for the kids too!

Mums all get the morning off, you earn massive brownie points (Brownlie Ponts Will!), and for being such a good Dad, your missus lets you play cricket – everyone’s a winner!

A Good Friday

A Good Friday

All we need to know is who is coming, and how many (we need to make sure we have enough eggs!) – if you can let Duncan know, we can make sure their will be no sad and disappointed faces with out an egg!
