Sunday Skip Picks His 100th Scalp

On 7th July 2013, Goring Sunday skipper, (The) Don Norman, dismissed his hundredth batsman for GCC. This was achieved against Woodcote CC in the derby fixture. The skipper lost the toss and was put into bowl in the heat for two and half hours in a timed game.

Woodcote CC was (?were?) reduced to 171 for 8 in 36 overs bowled with the pick of the bowlers being Charlie Edwards (2/41) and Don Norman (3/15). This was celebrated exhaustedly in the blazing heat, but celebrations continued at the Goring Social Club. Goring Sunday ended the game within 30 overs, winning by 6 wickets. Pick of the batsman were Ollie Carrier (42), Tim Jones (38) and Will Brownlee (23*).

A great result for Goring Sunday picking up their fourth win of the season.
